Ice Horse Hoof Boots + 6 cold inserts
The Ice Horse Hoof Boots have been developed to cool your horse's hoof in a targeted and practical way. Instead of buckets of ice water, loose ice packs, or wet cloths, you use a sturdy hoof boot with reusable Cold Capsule Inserts that keep the cold in the right place.
The boots cool from the coronary band through the hoof. This makes them particularly interesting for horses whose hoof requires extra attention, for example in cases of heat, sensitivity, bruising, hoof abscess care, support for laminitis, or recovery after intensive work.
The Cold Capsule Inserts are placed in the freezer beforehand and then inserted into the boot. They remain soft when frozen and mold around the hoof, allowing for better contact than hard ice packs or classic frozen gel packs. This allows the cold to be distributed more evenly around the hoof.
The Hoof Ice Boots are reusable, durable, and easy to apply. They are practical for use in the stable, at competitions, in the clinic, or within a rehabilitation environment.
Why choose the Ice Horse Hoof Boots?
Cooling hooves with buckets of ice water can be messy and impractical. Horses step out, the water gets dirty, the ice melts quickly, and it is not always feasible to work with buckets at competitions or during transport.
The Ice Horse Hoof Boots offer a cleaner and simpler alternative. The Cold Capsule Inserts remain inside the boot and mold around the hoof, allowing you to cool specifically without loose ice, standing water, or prolonged soaking.
For horses with sensitive hooves, warm hooves, or horses requiring extra support within their hoof care and recovery routine, this is a practical product to have ready in the stable. In cases of laminitis, hoof abscesses, inflammation, obvious pain, or lameness, guidance by a veterinarian or hoof specialist remains necessary at all times.
Suitable for
The Ice Horse Hoof Boots are suitable for:
- targeted cold therapy of hoof and coronary band
- horses with sensitive, warm, or heavy hooves
- support with recovery management after work, a competition, or transport
- Use for hoof care under the supervision of a veterinarian or hoof specialist
- stable, clinic, competition, and rehabilitation environments
What size do I need?
Choose the correct size by carefully measuring the hoof. Measure the sole width at the widest point and the sole length from heel to toe. Do not include the hoof bulbs in the length measurement. If you are unsure between two sizes, always check that both the width and the length fall within the maximum dimensions of the chosen size.

Use
Place the Cold Capsule Inserts in the freezer for a few hours beforehand.
Place the frozen inserts in the Hoof Boots and apply the boot around the hoof you want to cool. Check that the inserts are properly positioned and make good contact with the hoof and coronary band.
Fasten the boot securely enough so that it stays in place, but do not pull it unnecessarily tight. Always use cold therapy under supervision and check regularly to ensure your horse remains comfortable.
After use, the inserts can be placed back in the freezer. Clean the boat if necessary and let it dry thoroughly before storing it.
How do I maintain my boots?
Clean the boots after use with a damp cloth or rinse away dirt if necessary. Let them dry thoroughly before storing them. Remove sand, hair, and dirt around the fastenings to ensure they continue to function properly.
Please note!
Cold therapy is a tool in hoof care, sports care, and recovery management. In cases of laminitis, hoof abscess, inflammation, obvious pain, lameness, or if in doubt, always consult a veterinarian or hoof specialist.
Check that the boots, fastenings, and inserts are still in good condition before each use. Do not use the product if inserts are leaking or if the boot is damaged.
